The 2025 Airline & Travel Payments Summit worldwide conference is the only annual event dedicated to the global airline & travel industry on payments and fraud prevention. The theme for 2025’s conference is: Revenue, Retail, Results.

Last year’s event brought us payment insights from the likes of Air Europa, Norwegian and Iberia, as well as take-aways from fraud prevention professionals, including those from British Airways, Southwest Airlines and Hyatt Hotels, all sharing front line and practical insights. ATPS 2025 is shaping up to be an even better place to get ahead of payment and fraud trends in the airline and travel industry.

ATPS 2025 is being held alongside Airline Information’s “Mega Event” for Loyalty Marketing and Ancillary Revenue professionals from airlines and travel-related companies. Delegates will be able to mix and match sessions as the worlds of loyalty and ancillaries meets payments and fraud. Loyalty fraud, for example, has been growing, and the Loyalty Security Alliance (LSA) conference (part of ATPS) is also being held at the same time.

Payments is increasingly seen as a way of increasing revenues and is a key part of the retailing concept that many airlines are adopting. Items like NDC and mobile payments  can be the difference between one airline/OTA making the sale – if it’s done well – as opposed to it going to a competitor. Sitting behind these customer-facing issues are all the challenges relating to the likes of real time/open banking payments, managing across borders, as well as how AI will (or will not) impact payments.

The fraudsters, however, are using AI more and more. Card Not Present fraud is down in most parts of the world, but in the absence of Digital IDs, fraud is moving more and more to call centres – often seen as the weakest link. The fraudsters are also targeting loyalty accounts, and ATPS/LSA 2025 will be hearing from the frontline of the likes of Booking.com and United Airlines (to name but two!) on how they are managing in this fast-changing area.

Interested in sharing your insights and story with ATPS/LSA delegates?   We’d love to hear from you –  please contact Michael Smith at speaking@aiconnects.us.
