Are Ancillary Revenues saturating for airlines? Have most cost-savings that airlines can realize been realized already? Many airline industry experts believe that the answer to these two questions is a resounding “Yes.” If so, longer term profitability for airlines will require new business models.

For this webinar, we first talked with Revenue Management and airline onboard product expert Oliver Ranson on the limits for airlines in cost-cutting and finding new revenue sources. Then we spoke to Gavin Eccles who proposed a new Ancillary Revenue model where airlines act more as tour operators. Gavin spoke based on experience as he has been both CCO of an airline, as well as held a top position with a national tourism authority.
